1.00 ACOUSTIC PLY CEILING SYSTEM
Install to areas shown, prefinished 'AcoustiPly' modular slot-perforated timber veneered ceiling panels complete with all proprietory support framing, acoustical insulation and all trim in strict accordance with relevant Australian Standards and the Manufacturers Recommendations.

1.02 SUSPENSION SYSTEM:
The suspension system shall be fully concealed in the finished work. Primary suspension shall comprise AT/LC.100 long span channel sections at nom 1200mm centres in parallel, supported at up to 1800mm centres along their length by means of appropriate proprietory hanger assemblies as recommended by the manufacturer. Fit machine formed splice plates joining primary channels end to end. Diagonally brace primary channels at nominal 2000mm centres to maintain continuous alignment. Fit at rightangles to and hard under primary channels, by means of proprietory coupling clips, matt black faced AT/FC.100 furring sections at nominal 500mm centres in parallel.
1.03 PLY PANELS:
Panels shall be 'Acousti-Ply' or similar proprietory type, 9mm thick, slot-perforated and sized to suit the modular requirements shown n the reflected ceiling drawings. Panels will be fine sanded Hoop-pine veneer faced, ready for clear finish specified elsewhere, and have a suitable compensating rear veneer. Perforations will consist of 100mm x 15mm slots with 15mm radiused ends, all set-out on a rectangular pattern of spacings of 40mm in parallel and 150mm longitudinally as detailed. Perimeters of panels will have plain borders dimensioned to suit perforation set-out. Each panel shall be fully covered by 25mm thick black faced medium density fibreglass acoustical insulation, sized to suit the panel module.
Where shown on drawings, fit plain un-perforated sheeting of the same type in margins and perimeters as detailed. Where sheets join, lightly aris each abutting edge to form small vee joints.
Fix all ply panels using countersunk self drilling screws at maximum centres as recommended by the manufacturer and set-out to pattern to architects approval. Finish screw heads with fitted approved type black plastic caps.
1.04 PERIMETER TRIMS:
Provide all timber and metal trims to provide edge finishes and negative edge details as shown and detailed on drawings.
Make all penetrations and form negative details by fitting matt black finished backing pieces onto back of ply panels and sheets above cut edges to extent shown on drawings.
1.06 PANEL AND SHEET FINISHES:
Refer to painter specification and schedule for paint and polish specifications and finishes.
